Temporary Service Locations AnnouncedA Step Toward Enhanced Community Support

DAYTON, Ohio — Montgomery County has unveiled a significant transition plan for its Job Center, aiming to enhance accessibility and streamline services for residents. As part of the initiative, several key services will temporarily relocate to new sites in Dayton starting next month, ensuring uninterrupted support for the community.

The Job Center, currently located at 1111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., will undergo changes as the county prepares to move to a new facility. The relocation aims to provide a more centralized and efficient hub for residents seeking career and family services.

“Our priority is to ensure that everyone in our community can access essential support without disruption,” said Carolyn Rice, Montgomery County Commission President. “The Forest Park site offers us the opportunity to expand our services and better connect residents to critical resources. With Children Services and the Stillwater Center nearby, we’re creating a more cohesive network that makes it easier for families to navigate their needs.”

Temporary Service Locations Announced

Starting May 4, Adult Career Services will move to the Business Solutions Center at 1435 Cincinnati St., Suite 300, Dayton. Simultaneously, Youth Career Services will be housed at the Employment Opportunity Center, 4303 W. Third St., Dayton.

A week later, on May 11, Job & Family Services will transition to the Southview Center at 25 Thorpe Dr., Dayton. This relocation includes vital programs such as Food Assistance (SNAP), Cash Assistance, Medical Assistance, Child Care Assistance, Emergency Aid (PRC) for Needy Families, and Adult Protective Services.

The temporary moves are designed to maintain seamless access to services while the county prepares for a permanent upgrade to its Job Center facilities. Officials emphasize that the transition will not affect the availability or quality of support for residents.

A Step Toward Enhanced Community Support

The relocation underscores Montgomery County’s commitment to improving service delivery for its residents. By moving closer to other county facilities, the Job Center aims to foster stronger connections between different support programs, making it easier for individuals and families to access the resources they need.

“This transition is about growth and accessibility,” Rice added. “We’re positioning ourselves to better serve our community, ensuring that everyone has the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Residents are encouraged to stay informed about service locations and updates by visiting the county’s official webpage dedicated to the Job Center project.

As Montgomery County embarks on this transformative journey, the temporary relocations mark a pivotal step toward creating a more integrated and efficient support system for Dayton residents.
