Columbus: Cherry Blossoms and Zoo Adventures

Columbus welcomes spring with the Greater Columbus Cherry Blossom Festival at Franklin Park Amphitheater on April 4. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can marvel at the blooming of more than 100 cherry trees. Best of all, this event is free for everyone.

For animal lovers, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium hosts Eggs, Paws, and Claws on April 3 and 4. This family-friendly event features egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, and special appearances by character ambassadors.

Cincinnati: Zoo Enrichment and Easter Brunch

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden is the place to be on April 4, as it hosts its annual Easter Celebration from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can enjoy Easter-themed enrichment activities for the animals, included with regular zoo admission.

The Toledo Zoo invites families to its Breakfast with the Bunny event on April 3 and 4. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., guests can enjoy breakfast, egg hunts, crafts, and animal encounters. Tickets start at $40 for children and $50 for adults, with discounts for zoo members.

For nature enthusiasts, the zoo also offers a Bird Photography excursion at East Harbor State Park on April 4. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., participants can join a guided walk led by an ornithologist and photographer to capture stunning shots of local birds. Tickets are $60.
