Bestselling Author Tia Williams to Headline Akron Library’s “Many Voices” Series
Akron, Ohio — The Akron-Summit County Public Library’s acclaimed Main Event, Many Voices series is bringing bestselling author Tia Williams to town this spring for an evening of literary discussion and inspiration.
The free event will take place on Monday, April 27, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the library’s main branch. Williams, known for her captivating blend of romance, humor, and Black excellence in fiction, will sit down with Ideastream Public Media’s Stephanie Haney for a lively conversation about her creative process, career journey, and the stories behind her celebrated novels.
A Literary Powerhouse
Williams, a former beauty editor at Elle, Glamour, and Essence, has penned eight books, including the New York Times bestseller Seven Days in June—a Reese’s Book Club pick—and The Perfect Find, which was adapted into a Netflix film. Her latest works, A Love Song for Ricki Wilde and Audre and Bash Are Just Friends, will be available for purchase at the event, with Williams signing copies afterward.
“Her writing brilliantly weaves romance, wit, history, and even a touch of magic—all while celebrating Black voices and experiences,” the library said in a statement.
