Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Crowned Best Regional Airport in North America

ERLANGER, Kentucky — The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) has reclaimed its title as the Best Regional Airport in North America at the prestigious World Airport Awards. This accolade, presented by Skytrax, highlights CVG’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the passenger experience through strategic investments and innovative partnerships.

After spending two years consistently ranked within the top five, CVG’s return to the number one spot underscores its dedication to excellence. The airport’s leadership attributes this success to a relentless focus on creating a seamless and enjoyable journey for travelers.

“Our team is deeply committed to ensuring every passenger feels valued and well-served,” said Larry Krauter, CEO of CVG International Airport. “This recognition reflects our ongoing efforts to invest in state-of-the-art facilities, cutting-edge technology, and collaborative partnerships that elevate the travel experience.”

The World Airport Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” are based on extensive passenger surveys conducted by Skytrax. These surveys assess airports globally across various criteria, including cleanliness, efficiency, and customer service.

Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, praised CVG’s ability to deliver a streamlined and comfortable experience for travelers. “Passengers increasingly value airports that are easy to navigate, well-managed, and welcoming,” Plaisted said. “Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has made significant strides in strengthening its position as a leader in the regional category, and this award reflects the positive feedback from travelers.”

Chad Summe, Chair of the Kenton County Airport Board, expressed pride in the airport’s achievement. “This honor is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at CVG,” Summe said. “We are grateful to Skytrax and the traveling public for recognizing our efforts to create a world-class experience.”

CVG’s recent investments include terminal upgrades, advanced technology systems, and partnerships with industry leaders to streamline operations and enhance convenience for passengers. These initiatives have not only improved the airport’s infrastructure but also reinforced its reputation as a traveler-friendly hub.

The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport serves as a vital gateway for millions of passengers annually, connecting the region to destinations across the globe. Its recognition as the Best Regional Airport in North America solidifies its position as a key player in the aviation industry.

As CVG celebrates this milestone, its leadership remains focused on continuous improvement. “We view this award as both an honor and a motivation to keep raising the bar,” Krauter emphasized. “Our goal is to consistently exceed expectations and set new standards for excellence in air travel.”

For travelers passing through CVG, the airport’s commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of their journey, from the moment they arrive to the time they board their flights.
