Nationwide Children’s Hospital Opens New Pediatric Outpatient Center in Grove City
Grove City, Ohio — Families in Grove City now have access to expert pediatric care closer to home with the opening of Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s latest outpatient center. The new “Close To Home Center” officially launched this week at 1350 Stringtown Road, marking a significant step in bringing specialized healthcare services to the community.
The center is designed to provide a wide range of clinical services tailored to children, young adults, and newborns. These include diagnostic testing, therapeutic treatments, and urgent care, ensuring families don’t have to travel far for high-quality medical attention. According to Libbey Hoang, Vice President of Planning and Business Development at Nationwide Children’s, the facility represents the hospital’s commitment to meeting families where they are.
“Our clinicians and researchers are dedicated to delivering expert-level care directly within the communities we serve,” Hoang said. “This expansion builds on our longstanding relationship with Grove City, where we’ve provided laboratory services since 2006. With this new center, we’re reinforcing our mission to improve health outcomes for all children and families.”
The Grove City location joins a network of 26 “Close To Home” centers operated by Nationwide Children’s across Ohio. Each center offers a variety of services tailored to local needs, aiming to make healthcare more accessible and convenient. Plans are already underway to open additional centers in Chillicothe by winter 2026, followed by locations in Ontario and New Albany in late 2027.
The Grove City center will operate its urgent care services from Monday to Friday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., and from noon to 8 p.m. on weekends. This schedule is designed to accommodate busy families and provide care during hours when traditional clinics may be closed.
For parents and caregivers, the center’s opening is a welcome addition to the community. With pediatric care now just minutes away, families can save time and reduce stress, especially during emergencies. The facility also emphasizes a patient-centered approach, ensuring that children receive compassionate and effective care in a comfortable environment.
“Having a place like this in Grove City is a game-changer,” said Sarah Thompson, a local mother of two. “It’s reassuring to know that if my kids need medical attention, we don’t have to drive downtown. This center is right here, and it’s designed with families in mind.”
As Nationwide Children’s continues to expand its footprint across Ohio, the Grove City center stands as a testament to its dedication to community-based care. Families seeking more information can visit NationwideChildrens.org/GroveCity or call (614) 938-1800.
