Cincinnati’s Annual Concert for a Cause Raises Funds and Hope for Families Battling Pediatric Cancer
HAMILTON, Ohio — For the sixth consecutive year, the Cincinnati community came together for Concert for a Cause, a heartfelt event that combines live music with a mission to support families facing the emotional and financial toll of pediatric cancer. Held in Hamilton, Ohio, the event aims to raise vital funds for Bryttan’s Battalion, a nonprofit organization founded by Amanda Fiorini in honor of her daughter Bryttan’s courageous battle with cancer.
Bryttan was diagnosed with pediatric cancer on December 5, 2020, a moment that changed Fiorini’s life forever. In 2022, she established Bryttan’s Battalion to provide financial assistance and emotional support to families navigating similar challenges.
“When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it’s not just the child who suffers—the entire family is impacted,” Fiorini explained. “Many parents have to reduce their work hours or leave their jobs altogether to care for their child. Our goal is to ease that burden and give families the resources they need to focus on their child’s recovery.”
According to the Ohio Department of Health, an average of 552 children in the state are diagnosed with invasive cancer each year. Bryttan’s Battalion steps in to help cover treatment costs, advocate for less toxic therapies, and provide support in any way possible.
The Concert for a Cause event serves as a powerful platform for the community to rally around this mission. Attendees enjoyed live music while contributing to a cause that directly impacts families in need. Cincinnati resident Jim Goodman, who attended the event, emphasized the importance of collective support during such difficult times.
“Cancer doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed—it affects their entire circle of family and friends,” Goodman said. “Events like this remind us that we’re not alone in this journey. It’s about coming together to lift each other up.”
Fiorini hopes the concert will continue to grow, enabling Bryttan’s Battalion to reach even more families in the coming years. “Our tagline is ‘give kids what they need,’ and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do,” she said. “Every dollar raised means one less worry for a family fighting this battle.”
The event not only raises funds but also fosters a sense of unity and hope, proving that music can indeed be a powerful instrument for change.
