Toledo Police Opens Applications for 47th Annual Safe-T-City Safety Program
TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Police Department is now accepting applications for its 47th annual Safe-T-City program, a beloved initiative teaching essential safety skills to young children.
Designed for kids entering kindergarten this fall, the program blends interactive lessons, songs, and hands-on activities to prepare children for real-world hazards—from stranger awareness to fire and water safety.
What Parents Should Know
- Life Skills Focus: Kids learn pedestrian, bicycle, bus, electrical, and fire safety.
- Engaging Learning: Certified instructors and police officers use songs and activities to reinforce lessons.
- Flexible Sessions: Morning (8:15 a.m.–10:45 a.m.) and afternoon (12 p.m.–2:30 p.m.) slots available.
- Limited Spots: Enrollment is first-come, first-served.
