DAYTON, Ohio — Fitness enthusiasts and casual exercisers alike can now break a sweat beneath historic aircraft at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The museum has announced its Fitness Under the Wings program, a series of free monthly workout sessions designed for all skill levels, running through summer 2026.

What’s Happening?

Every month, participants can join guided fitness classes led by local instructors on the museum grounds. The sessions, held on select Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., offer a unique blend of exercise and aviation history. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., giving attendees time to explore exhibits before or after their workout.

For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, self-guided walks through the museum are also encouraged.

Summer 2026 Class Lineup

Each month features a different fitness style:

  • May 23: BootyMix – A high-energy dance fitness session
  • June 13: Mindfulness in Motion – A calming Vinyasa yoga flow
  • July 18: Find Your Space – A strength and flexibility workshop
  • August 22: Pretty Girl Werk – A dance and toning class

From dance cardio to mindful stretching, the program caters to diverse interests.

How to Join

While the classes are free, registration is required and opens on the day of each event. Spots are expected to fill quickly, so early sign-up is recommended.

Why It Matters:
The initiative combines wellness with education, encouraging the community to stay active while surrounded by aerospace history. It’s an opportunity to experience the museum in a new way—whether sweating it out in a dance class or unwinding with yoga under the wings of legendary aircraft.

For details and registration, visit the museum’s official website.
